Col. 3:1-3 If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things
which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set
your mind on the things which are above, not on the things which are
on the earth.
When we seek the things above, we respond to the Lord’s heavenly ministry and reflect it. If in our prayer we are willing to forget insignificant matters and care for the things above, we shall become conscious of the traffic between us and Christ in heaven. We shall sense a current flowing back and forth between Him and us. By means of this kind of prayer, the divine riches are transfused into us. This enables us to be one with others and to be right with everyone.
This paragraph helps me a lot, while I am the one who can’t forget the things on the earth. Recently, I am full of Apartment searching. No matter what am I doing, walking, studying, and even sleeping, there’s always house in me. Naturally, I prayed to the Lord about the house, too. But this message broaden my view. The intercession of Christ is for his church. When I care about what He wants, which is his church, I get more clearly what I am seeking for, which is I hope I can live nearer with the saints, take more parts in the church life. After the prayer, since I have known what I am seeking for, I can fellowship my need to the saints there more clearly, and find house together. I can testify, when we care for the things above, it is more easy for us to coordinate and love others.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you have crucified.
The meaning of the ascension of Christ was His official inauguration. First of all, He was made the Lord. As God, before His incarnation, the Lord Jesus was the Lord already. But after His incarnation, this very God became a man. God was the Lord, but man was not. Yet the Lord became a man, and this man was crucified on the cross, buried, and resurrected from the dead. It was at this time that the man Jesus became the Lord. For God to be the Lord, there is no need of any kind of inauguration. But for a small man from a lowly town in a despised country to be made the Lord requires a real inauguration. He was not made the Lord as God. As God He was Lord already. Now this man from Nazareth was inaugurated to be the Lord of all.

Before this message, I always focus on the crucifixion and salvation to us, but don’t treasure his ascension so much. But ascension is so important to us, that he can be declared by God and become the official savior. Before I complete my enrollment to the university, I can tell everyone I have been accepted by the university. I still can’t participate in the class, eating in the Mensa for a cheaper price. But after the enrollment, I can use the right of being a student. Also, through the ascension of Christ, he has carried out his right and govern the entire world through his church, which is above everyone and everything. Through his ascension, we can experience himself, assume the authority to preach the gospel, and pray to the Lord. So I prayed to the Lord, “May you open the vision of ascension to me!”
